DIGOSAR — Digital Integrity Global Organisation Systems Autonomous Register — is an independent, self-regulatory register for reports about published information.
Remit
DIGOSAR’s remit is the websites that adopt its reporting standard. It receives reports about what those websites publish, reviews them against evidence and records each outcome.
Independence from commercial interests
Information integrity is kept separate from commercial considerations. A report is never suppressed, prioritised or treated differently because a page sells something, because a product is profitable, or because the report concerns commercial material. A reporter’s identity is never used for advertising or commercial profiling.
Auditability
Every report receives a reference when it is submitted. Its record — the report, the page and version reported, and the outcome — is sealed when written, so that later changes are detectable, and each step is logged in an append-only ledger.
Security
Security issues can be reported as described in security.txt, the standard format for vulnerability disclosure.
