Confidentiality
Your report will be treated confidentially.
A visitor must be able to report a problem without worrying that their identity will be shared with the subject of the complaint.
Your name, contact information and the fact that you submitted the report will not be published or ordinarily disclosed to the person, organisation or subject concerned.
Access to identifying information will be restricted to authorised personnel handling the report.
Where investigation or correction requires communication with another party, the substance of the concern may be communicated without identifying the reporter wherever reasonably possible.
Information may be disclosed only where required by law, necessary to protect legal rights or security, or otherwise legally necessary.
How this is kept in practice
- Your name and email address are stored only in the report’s protected record and in the report delivered to the people handling it. They never enter site statistics.
- Correction notes and any published register of changes describe the page and the change, never the reporter.
- The website you reported does not receive your identity from DIGOSAR, and your report never passes through that website’s own server: the Report this page link brings you to digosar.com directly.
- Records are sealed when they are written, so any later change to a record is detectable.
